JWP knees to Mike Zambidies

JWP - K - 1 MAX REVIEW What a night. After losing 8kgs in four days and starving my self to make the weight I had one of the best nights that I could have imagined. My first fight was against Alex Tui, as much as Alex is a legend I don't think that he should have been in the ring with me. He was tough and threw some hard punches but his fitness was not there and I don't think he had the fire that he once had.

After taking alot of punishment his corner threw in the towel half way through the third.

Next fight was Chopper Chapman - This was a good fight, very even in the first and I believe I just was a little bit a head in the second. half way through the third I landed a nice combo that landed dropping Chopper to the canvas. After the 8 count I took my time and didn't want to rush into anything like I did the first time we fought. About twenty seconds later I landed another straight right to choppers jaw and the fight was over.

The final against Zambidis - This fight I can not understand. I walked forward for three rounds taking the fight to Mike. Everytime he went to come in I would front kick to keep him away. I blocked 90% of all the kicks he threw at me and then would counter with my own. When he would try and punch I would lock him up in the grapple and knee non-stop until the ref would break us while Zambidis just stood there doing nothing. After the final bell some how the judges scored it 29-29-30-28 29-28 to Mike.

After that I had everyone you could think of in the sport of Muay Thai coming up to me telling me that I had won the fight from Bob Jones, Dave Hedgecock, Tarik Solak not to mention even Stan the man who said that if the fight was any where else that I would have won.

Because of poor judging it looks like I miss out on the $10,000 and a trip to Japan. They would rather see a guy from Greece represent Australia in the K-1 max then someone from this counrty, I just don't understand.

Besides that, I did the best that I could and I am very happy knowing that I had three fights for all most three wins. Everyone in Melbourne treated me very nice and the crowd gave good support.

Thanks for everyones messages and will keep every posted when I will be fighting again.
